Designer and Printer Under One Roof?

The traditional division of labor between the graphic designer and the printer can create a situation that puts the client directly in the middle of any job that doesn't produce the desired results -- whether in preflight, in proofing, on press, or in finishing.

In 1988, Balmar recognized the opportunity to eliminate this problem by creating Ellipse Design, a division of Balmar that now resides in our Falls Church production facility. The concept was simple -- design high quality print communications pieces that print well. While the concept hasn't changed, the array of design services continues to expand.
