Balmar Expands Digital Center with Nuvera 144

Falls Church, Virginia – Balmar has upgraded their B&W digital printing capabilities with the installation of two Xerox Nuvera 144 digital presses. Balmar has long been a leader in adopting, developing, and capitalizing on new digital print technologies.

One of the key areas of Balmar’s growth in recent years has been the smart, carefully considered investments in new equipment and technologies that meet the changing needs of our clients. This most recent investment in the Nuvera 144 was made towards satisfying both current and future needs of the market.

The Nuvera 144 has high-volume production printing at up to 144 images per minute, offering a more powerful print controller and advanced finishing options, including booklet makers and binders, for print applications such as books, manuals, personalized marketing pieces, and transactional documents. The presses can handle traditional stocks as well as coated stocks. The system also features print-image quality of 4800 x 600 dots per inch, the highest resolution of any digital black-and-white production printing system on the market.

“With our Xerox Nuvera system, we are now able to produce more powerful marketing materials with faster turnaround times that give our customers more value," said Jim Morgan, President and COO of Balmar. "Our customers like the high image quality and how close it comes to offset.”
