Balmar Wins Coveted PIA Award
Each year the Printing Industries of America holds the world's most prestigious print competition—the Premier Print Awards. Established in 1950, it is the industry's oldest international awards competition. Each year printing companies from the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, China, and other nations around the world enter the the competion in hopes that they will be recognized as one of the best in print.
Balmar is pleased to announce that from a field of over 3,200 entries we were awarded a Best in Category in the Cross Media Promotion category for our 2010 Social Networking Calendar campaign. "The Benny" a bronze statuette of Benjamin Franklin is awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category. To win, an entry must be flawless.
Balmar's 2010 Calendar theme was based on the rapid growth of social networking. We profiled unique ways to describe groups of animals, like a Crash of Rhinos or a Smack of Jellyfish. We designed a Cross Media Campaign that integrated the use of digital postcards, email, invoice stuffers, and website to market the Calendar, encourage pre-orders and promote our services.
The pieces that claimed the top prize in the competition, The Benny, will be honored at the Premier Print Awards Gala in Chicago, Illinois on October 3, 2010.
