Upload a File
Balmar makes it easy for customers to upload their files electronically.
To upload files to our FTP site, please take the following steps:
- Collect files into one folder with fonts and links (if necessary) and zip (PC)/stuff (Mac). Use dashes or underscores in place of spaces.
- Double click the My Computer icon on your desktop or launch Windows Explorer and type ftp.balmar.com on the address line within that window.
- Check the “Log on anonymously” box and enter your email address as the password.
- Navigate to the appropriate “Drop Off” folder to upload your file. Please contact your Balmar Representative if you are unsure which folder to select.
- When you have opened the appropriate directory, the window will appear blank. Locate the compressed file on your computer and drag and drop the zipped/stuffed file onto the blank window.
If you receive a password prompt or are launching Fetch (for Mac files), type in the following:
- Host: ftp.balmar.com
- User ID: anonymous
- Password: (your email address)
- Click on the Connect Button.
At this point the “Drop Off” folders will appear. Follow the instructions above.
