Balmar's 2005 "Balmar Rocks" Calendar wins national awards in 2 competitions!
The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. All work is judged solely on its own quality, creativity and resourcefulness. There were 5,078 entries throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the 2005 print media competition.
Balmar's calendar was given an Award of Excellence in the category for Marketing Promotions/ Calendars. The Communicator's prestigious Award of Excellence is presented to those entrants whose ability to communicate places them among the best in their field. About 13% of the entries won this award.
Winners of the Communicator Awards come from advertising and public relations agencies, corporate communications departments, educational institutions, government entities, designers, writers, video production professionals, broadcast and cable operations, and other businesses and individuals throughout the country.
In addition to the Communicator award, Balmar/Ellipse Design also won several awards from the Calendar Marketing Association.
The Calendar Awards Program is the industry's premier competition, recognizing the highest quality calendar design and production in the world.
Balmar/Ellipse designers Rene Ramos, Terry Gallagher, Vicki Hooper, and Theresa Welling, were recognized with a Silver award in the technical division of graphic design. The calendar was also recognized with a Bronze award in the custom division, and a Silver Award for Best Subject.
