Balmar Wins Marketing Award in National Competition
Balmar Printing & Graphics and Ellipse Marketing/Design of Arlington, Virginia took honors in the 1998 PRIMA Awards, a national competition recognizing outstanding marketing by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Balmar won 1st Prize for our 1998 "Balomars" Calendar in the Collateral Materials category. We will receive our award at a special ASAE presentation ceremony in August in Nashville.
Balmar has been producing award winning calendars for our customers as gifts since 1988. We produced the multi-color calendar and carrier entirely in-house, utilizing our design studio, Ellipse, and our printing plants in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia. Not only is the calendar a gift, it also showcases our design and printing capabilities.
The PRIMA Awards (Promoting and Recognizing Innovation in Marketing to Associations) honor hotels, convention bureaus, convention centers, insurance and financial companies, technology firms and others that provide services to associations. The judges recognize outstanding creativity and dedication to marketing to the association community.
The competition drew entries from all over the U.S. in eleven categories ranging from best direct mail campaigns, print advertising to newsletters, CD-ROMs, web sites, and trade show marketing.
