Balmar/Ellipse Client Wins National Publications Contest (January 9, 2003)
Gaithersburg, Maryland - The association industry's leading publication, "Association Trends", announced the winners of their 2002 publications contest.
Ellipse Design a division of Balmar, Inc. recently designed two of the pieces that won top awards for their client, ACEC. Balmar provided the printing for ACEC's weekly newsletter, Last Word, which won third place in the annual nationally held publications contest for best member communications bulletin.
Also meriting a top award was ACEC's brochure for CCD 2002, "Engineers Salute America" which placed second for most effective convention program brochure.
The competition drew more than 400 submissions from associations nationwide. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges comprised of leading association and media experts.
The judges cited the ACEC publications for their high value of content for members, effective communication style and visual impact.
